Why paper still matters

Paper asks us to slow down. A handwritten line carries the pace of the person who wrote it, and a journal keeps the shape of a thought as it first arrived.

That is why paper still belongs at celebrations. It gives a fleeting moment a physical place to live after the flowers are gone and the room is quiet again.

Keep the note brief if you like. The fact that you took the time is often the part that stays.
